PROFESSOR W.A.J. OKUMU is one of Africa's foremost development experts and diplomats. He is also an internationally renowned mediator on peace. Educated in economics and finance at Harvard and Cambridge, he has served in many important positions dealing with African political and economic issues. He continues to play a key role in conflict resolution and as a mediator throughout Africa, and he lectures widely on peace and development issues.
