Black Classic Press is please to reintroduce The Book of African Names. Although it has a new cover, many readers will remember it as on of the earliest and most widely available African name books. Originally published in 1970 by Drum and Spear Press, it became a popular source for renaming a generation of African people, both in the United States and abroad. The Book of African Names went through a number of printings and remained available for sometime after Drum and Spear ceased publishing books in the early 1970's.
After more than two decades, The Book of African Names continues to be a valuable resource for African people who want to claim their identity.
