ABOUT THE AUTHOR
MOLEFI KETE ASANTE is Professor and Chair, Department of African American Studies at Temple University. Dr. Asante is the creator of the first Ph.D. program in an African American Studies department and is credited with founding the philosophy of Afrocentrism. Dr. Asante has written more than thirty-five books, including Afrocentricity, The Book of African Names, and Kemet, Afrocentricity and Knowledge, and two hundred articles for journals and magazines.
