Country Roads: A Coming of Age Memoir by Aklilu Kidanu Wolde Giorgis
Product Description
This book is a retelling of a coming of age story that thematically travels from the author’s origin in Ethiopia to the United States, Europe and other places back to Ethiopia. As we trace the author’s developmental stages, educational journey, adulthood and professional life, the reader is mesmerized with a life of adventure, challenges, periods of longings for home and a settled and successful life back in his homeland.
****
It is a direct, frank and warm book about transitions and dilemmas written in a very straightforward style. I must say that the book is consistent in its honesty; unsurprisingly as its author is fundamentally honest.
-- Hiruy Amanuel Gebreselassie, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Truly inspiring!
--Ghion Shewangizaw Eguale, Toronto, Canada
Incredibly enlightening! Offered me such an honest and personal perspective of life in a completely different ecosystem.
--Leul Daniel Gebre Meskal, California, USA
