The Journal Of Afroasiatic Languages (JAAL) is sponsored and published twice a year by the Institute of Semitic Studies (ISS). JAAL brings forward contributions of linguistics of all types—historical, comparative, theoretical, descriptive, and others—that deal with Afroasiatic languages. JAAL welcomes book reviews in any area of linguistics and Afroasiatic studies, reactions to articles in JAAL or to relevant issues raised anywhere, and addenda to articles. JAAL intends to provide a forum for debates on specific issues, and invites suggestions.
The articles included in this issue are:
Ephraim Isaac: The “Horns” of Moses and All That: History of a Translation and a Translation of Culture
Keffyalew Gebregziabher: Tigrinya Vowel and Consonant Epenthesis: An OT Account
Girma A. Demeke: “Object Markers” in Copular Constructions: The Ethio-Semitic Case
